Rating: I love this putter, it was the first real putter I bought and I've had it for 2.5 years now. I've putted with many other putters and nothing else has felt as good as this ping G5i Ally. I love the alignment aid on the ally, it's essentially a 3 stripe aid that is as wide as a golf ball, this really helps me lining up putts. Also this putter can be had for ridiculously cheap right now since the new pings have taken over. Many people may not like this putter due to the insert as that is personal preference, but for me I love it.
I have played this putter for 2 years now and still love it. Looks great at address with some forgiveness without the ugly look of some mallets.
The blue sight line insert means that this putter may not appeal to people looking for classic looks, however the usual Ping build quality and low price mean this is worth considering.
I have had the ping G5i putter for about 9 months now and so far it has treated me well. This putter is not the softest in the world but it gets the job done. It may just be me but i love this putter.
