#9 33" LH

Pros:
Great looking putter
Cons:
insert to mushy
Rating:
This putter requires a good technique to use, you need a swinging door type of stroke. The insert is terriable IMO, way to soft and hard to get a good feel on the distance.

I've used this putter for 1 year now and like the feel with harder cover balls, Titleist NXT Distance, DT, etc. If you use a ball with a softer cover (PROV), it feels way too soft and becomes hard to judge how hard to stroke putts. Good putter though..

This is the original version, XG #6, which is pretty much a unique putter. The new 2.0 is a very different putter. The reason for this putter's uniqueness is found in the hosel that keeps the shaft pretty much directly aligned with the putter head face. It looks like a plumber's hosel, but the base does not point a 1/4" away, but is directly square to plum center of the white face. I have not seen another Odyssey putter with such a hosel. So it must suck? I don't know, but it works remarkably well for me. It is very well balanced and getting the putts online is really remarkably easy with this putter. The take back is really reliable and the weighting is just fantastic. But it is a soft faced putter, and the ball sort of sponges off the face. I think it almost holds the ball a bit to the face. It comes off very true though. The only issue I found with this series is that on 30 footers or more, it is not the greatest. Lagging short is an issue, especially if it is uphill near the hole. It is deadly with most any ball inside 30 feet, but you have to remember to be aggressive on the long putts...or....Fix your irons in!!!! -- then go get one of these.:)
