This is my second mallet putter (first was Oddyssey Marxmann). This has a better feel weight wize and overall balance than the Marxmann. When I putt the weighting seems to just push and lift the putter head up and through the ball. I seem to have much better distance control thus far. The grooves really seem to get the ball rolling sooner than any putter I have had. I opted for the 33" double bend, I feel this length helps me to have my eyes in better alignment and lets my hips bend and put the weight over my heels, which I feel this puts me into a very stable position. I really like the alignment aid on the Marxmann but I think I like this one even better, it seems to give me more confidence on ball position and wether its ligned up correctly. Overall a great buy($108)on Ebay, and I am very satisfied at this point with putting, maybe one day I'll go back to a blade

This putter is solid!
I purchased it a few months ago after rolling it in the store. Always felt real solid, so finally made the purchase. But I had trouble putting it in the bag. It took a while to get used to on the grass. Plus, I'm sorry to admit, I felt a little funny about having that strange looking thing in my bag!
After a few rounds of solid ball striking and bad putting, the spider went in the bag. At the same time I decided to rework my stance and grip. I've always been a SBST putter and don't have much success when I try to change.
So here's what I did...
-widened my stance quite a bit. The 34" shaft fits perfectly for this stance
-went back to a cross handed grip
-SBST stroke. Exactly what this putter with the plumbers neck is designed for

The ball rolls off perfectly. Even if I catch it a little off center the ball still rolls on line. I use a line on the ball to line it up so I know when I roll it correctly. Like I said, the line will wobble on off center hits. But the ball still rolls well.
I like the grooved insert. It feels soft but not spongy. My distance control has been great.

Overall, I'd say this putter has everything I'm looking for. Easy alignment, great feel and the bottom line is I'm making putts!
Get over the looks and don't worry what your playing partners will say. You will make putts... and that's what its all about!
