Pros: Excellent Spin, great finish, roughed up face, durability, Feel is good for a cast wedge.
Cons: Cast, not forged, don't make them anymore.
Rating: These are great wedges and should not be overlooked. They are very hard to find anymore in new condition. The ben Hogan wedges, (Carnoustie, Riviera, and Colonial) all come with tour box grooves that are maxed out. The Colonial is forged, but I prefer the look and feel of the Carnoustie. The dark finish sets upt he ball nicely, the grooves and rugged face really put nice bite on the ball, and the durability is phenomenal. Wish they still made these, I'd pick up a 56 in a heart beat.
Cheap if you find them, amazing durability, great swing feel.

Durability:Look at the pictures!5 years of abuse by a hack, this thing is amazing.Don’t let the pictures fool you though!Those aren’t real scratches; they are really just the finish rubbing off.Unfortunately no picture I took really showed how it looks.

Shaft:Ben Hogan Frequency matched.Shafts are generally overlooked in wedges; this shaft lets me feel the club head.I know where it is, and it performs great after 5 years.
Face: 5 years of abuse and look at those grooves and the face texturing.This club has not been refinished, just amazing.

Grip: Well I live in the desert; try to find a grip over a year old.Thank god grips are cheap and easy to replace.
This club is fantastic, tied with best club in my bag.When I have to hit my wedges, this is my go to club.I would rather try to swing harder or choke up and cut my back swing then use my other wedges.Club has forgiveness for hackers like me; even those cheap TopFlight balls have some bite on the green.
It’s such a shame that the Hogan line of clubs was sold.I would buy more of these wedges if I could find them easier.One day the club will age and I will have to replace it; a sad day.
