Great all around bag
by w8liftr on October 25, 2009
Pros:
14 way divider, numerous pockets, comfortable straps, sturdy legs
Cons:
A little heavier than many bags, needs a dedicated putter slot
Rating:
This is a great all around bag. I use it to carry( 9 holes), in my push cart( 18 holes) & when I have to ride in a cart. I have had it for two seasons and it is still in immaculate condition. It is slightly heavier than some carry bags, but manageable for 9 holes. Unlike some carry bags, the SQ Tour fits nicely in a riding cart. There is plenty of storage, including a waterproof and lined valuables pocket. The insulated drink pouch is also good. The 14 way divider works okay, occasionally the clubs will tangle at the bottom, but it is not an issue. I wish the bag had a dedicated putter slot.
Overall the SQ Tour is a great bag that I have no intentions of replacing anytime soon.
Fantastic bag. Durable, 14 divider top is great with my clicgear cart as is the removable shoulder straps. Easy on this 40 year old back when I carry as well. No separate putter well, but this is a minor gripe. Lots of pockets so be careful about loading it with too much gear. Bag is light, but with enough space to make it heavy...
Great bag, looks very modern and sleak. Good stitching and construction. I have had no issues there.
The 14 way divider is a MUST HAVE. I cant believe I never used a 14 divider bag, it makes life so much easier and club management easy.
stand works good, not too heavy for walking occasionaly. Cooler pocket helps and holds a gatorade are a few beers. Lots of other pockets to arrange everything. Highly recommend.
- Has some trouble fitting on carts without stand wanting to open
Rating:
Let me begin with the cons: The bag is slightly heavier than your average stand bag. While added weight is undesirable for walking, it's really not that bad. I walked a 6,800 yard course 2 weeks ago and wasn't the slightest bit tired (5'10", 155 lbs, only 12 clubs). I've also noticed that the stand likes to open on some carts. If I angle my bag just a bit, the problem goes away.
On to the pros: Overall this is a very well thought out bag. The pockets have been given a lot of thought. Your average golfer will be pleasantly surprised when they start filling their bag with stuff. All the pockets you want to put particular items in are lined with a material perfect for that item. It's like they knew where you were going to put everything; even the little stuff. The 14 slot divider is wonderful. Not much else to say about it. There's a piece of velcro on the outside to slap your glove on and rip off. My glove has never fallen off. It holds very well. There are also a few external holes to slide tees into for quick access. Also, the straps are very comfortable and adjustable.
