Review Whiteboard 63 x by a 5 hdcp

Pros:
Low launch and spin, decent feel, very stable and accurate
Cons:
Expensive, not quite as smooth as the Blueboard
Rating:
Background
According to Mitsubishi Rayon (MRC), the Diamana Whiteboard is designed to produce a low ball flight with low spin. This is accomplished through a combination of stiff tip and mid section; feel is maintained by the softer butt section. This is the lowest launching and spinning shaft in Diamana series and one of the lowest launch/spin shafts available today.
MRC makes the Diamana shafts from scratch, whereas most (maybe all?) other manufactures purchase some material (ie graphite etc..) from outside sources or outsource the manufacturing. This allows them to control quality and utilize high quality materials
Looks
Diamana's sold is the U.S. have a unspectacular monochrome light gray paint scheme. It won't get many second looks but also won't be distracting at address.
Feel
The Diamana series are well known for its ultra smooth feel, that's probably why it's so popular on Tour. Tiger Woods plays this shaft (heavier version) in his driver. The whiteboard however is the least smooth of the Diamana series due to it's low torque and stiff tip/mid-section. That's not to say that is is a boardy feeling shaft, just that it's not in the same class a a Blueboard.
Launch
This is one of the lowest launching shafts out there. It performs best in drivers. Use in fairway woods should be done with caution so as to not end up with a very expensive shaft that won't get the ball in the air adequately off the turf.
Keep in mind however, that no shaft will work miracles. A high ball hitter will still hit it high with this shaft, just not as high as before.
Spin
Like the launch trajectory, this shaft is also one of the lowest spinning shafts out there at the moment. Great for hitting bombs into a wind. But you should be cautious of actually getting below optimal spin if you are already close to ideal.
Accuracy
An incredibly accurate and precise shaft. You can expect consistent results if you put a consistent swing on it.
Overall Impression
As with any shaft, you should be fitted for it. At the current cost $250ish this shaft is not for everyone (although you can find some pulls on ebay for less than $100). Like any shaft, it won't work miracles. Aggressive swingers may prefer this shaft more than smooth swingers, although smooth swinger certainly won't be hampered by the feel. If matched with the right head this shaft can go a long way to getting you close to optimal launch numbers.
