One of the best shafts on the market

by Ugo DeRosa on November 03, 2009

Pros:

Very tight dispersion, smooth, low spin

Cons:

none

Rating:

Have this shaft in my FT-9 Tour i-mix neutral. Mine is the 73X. This is, for sure, my favorite shaft to date. I am pretty long off the tee, but I am trying to lower my ball flight and improve dispersion. This shaft does the trick. The WhiteBoard is easily certainly the 2 or 3 lowest launching, lowest spin shafts on the market and this is immediately evident when you hit it. It is the most accurate shaft I have hit by a pretty good margin. It is very, very straight, and has a very smooth, tip-stiff feel. The flex is mostly in the butt of the shaft, the tip is quite stiff. This is a different feel if you are not used to it, since the vast majority of shafts in the market have an opposite flex design (butt stiff, tip flexible). For me, the feel is similar to the Matrix X-Con, but I do prefer the feel of the WhiteBoard.

If you are a high ball hitter and you can put a pretty good swing on the ball, you will like this shaft. If you are not trying to bring your ball flight down, or need a shaft that will help you hit the ball higher, do not buy this shaft, it will not work for you. The Blue Board and Fubuki are mid-launch, and the RedBoard is very high launching and those will work better for you.

I also have a Fubuki Tour 63X i-mix. There is a distinct difference in ball flight. The Fubuki is more of a mid-launch shaft, but is still very, very low spinning. I like the Fubuki, but love the WB. For reference, other shafts I have owned and liked are the Aldila NV, Aldila VS Proto, ProForce v2 and the Matrix X-con. But, the WB is simply better for my swing and is the best shaft I have ever owned.

A+

Diamana Blueboard 73 X

by Guest on May 03, 2010

Pros:

Very consistent shaft.  Great feel

Cons:

A bit spinny.

Rating:

Great overall shaft.  Put a little too much spin on the ball then I would of liked.  Very consistent performer.  I would recomend to someone with a swing speed in the 105-112 range for the X flex.

Best Shaft Out There

by hypergolf on March 08, 2012

Pros:
Tight dispersion, great feel

Cons:
Price tag

Rating:

Excellent feel, tight dispersion and I personally gained distance with this shaft. The only downside is the price. Something comparable to this shaft at a cheaper price would probably be Grafalloy Prolaunch Red imo.
