Background
According to Mitsubishi Rayon (MRC), the Diamana Blueboard is designed to produce an optimal blend of power and stability. It fits in between the Whiteboard (low launch and spin) and Redboard (mid/high launch and spin) as far as launch characteristics go.
MRC makes the shafts from scratch, whereas most (maybe all?) other manufactures purchase some material (ie graphite etc..) from outside sources or outsource the manufacturing.
Looks
Diamana's sold is the U.S. have a unspectacular monochrome light gray paint scheme. It won't get many second looks but also won't be distracting. I've got an early Japanese version that as the ultra cool ion paint job that gives the shaft a mirror like finish.
Feel
The Blueboard is well known for its ultra smooth feel, that's probably why it's so popular on Tour. Tiger Woods plays this shaft (heavier version) in his fairway woods and used to play it in his driver before switching to the whiteboard. Some confuse this smoothness with feeling the shaft is whippy or more flexible than advertised. I would think that smooth swingers may prefer this shaft as compared to more aggressive hitters of the ball.
Launch
I'd say it's a mid/low to mid launching shaft. It may very well be one of the greatest fairway wood shafts of all time. It launches it high enough to get in the air off the deck but keeps it low enough off the tee so you don't sacrifice distance.
Spin
Like the launch trajectory, this shaft also seems to be a mid/low to mid spinning shaft, again making it near ideal as a fairway wood shaft. I have found that if I really take a cut at it I can put some excessive spin on the ball causing some ballooning, this probably has more to do with my swing than the shaft.
Accuracy
An incredibly accurate and precise shaft. You can expect consistent results if you put a consistent swing on it.
Overall Impression
As with any shaft, you should be fitted for it. At the current cost $250ish this shaft is not for everyone (although you can find some pulls on ebay for less than $100). Like any shaft, it won't work miracles. Aggressive swingers may feel like they overwhelm the shaft, but I would guess that their results would say otherwise. Smooth swingers will appreciate the feel this shaft provides.
For me this shaft provides an unparalleled combination of feel, launch conditions, and accuracy. It will likely remain in my three wood for quite some time.
