Product Description
You’ll hit longer, straighter tee shots
with the engineering that makes the G15 such a reliable performer. The large head profile increases the moment of inertia for maximum forgiveness across the hitting surface. An external sole weight on the 460cc titanium head optimizes the CG to help you launch it high with reduced spin.
Patented ultra-thin crown technology
saved weight, which was re-distributed to the external sole weight pad to increase the MOI and position the CG for high launch. PING’s TFC 149D high-balance-point shaft allows for an increase in head mass (without increasing swing weight or overall weight), which results in faster ball speeds and a high MOI for longer tee shots.

wow is all i can say i have never been a ping man but i was in my local store just browsing (ok i was desperately trying to find something to spend my money on) so i saw the ping G15 10.5 stock stiff shaft on the rack picked it up did the i know what i am doing waggle that everyone does (i am a 2.6 index but still dont know what i am doing lol).so i decided to try it in the sim i wasnt swinging well at this particular time ok i will admitt it i had the shanks for the past 2 weeks i couldnt shake them.Anyway i hit ping obviously everything was of the heel but my numbers on the sim were great, the spin was low, launch was perfect and i was down the middle everytime so i bought it and went out the next day.wow is all i can say hit every fairway longer than my current driver (FT9) in fact i took both drivers with me and on the 11th hole of my local course i hit a necked ping drive and what i thought a striped FT9 drive and the ping was 10 yards longer
also my shanks were gone nothing to with the driver but still i shot 33 on the front and 36 on the back for a 69 2nd lowest round of the year
so there it is i have had the ping for 2 weeks i have played 6 times and it gets better and better i am shocked for sure i am going to buy the 3 wood to i have been looking for a decent 3 wood for while so i will review the 3 wood when i get it thanks guys hit em straight !

Sweet feeling driver. Just got fitted last week and this is a must buy for 2009. I was hitting the 10.5 STIFF Serrano shaft straight with the occasional draw. I emptied haft a bucket during the fitting which was around 50 balls. PING really figured it out with this one.

The G15 just kicked the Rapture V2 out of my bag. Great driver and I really like the Serrano. First time in some time I may keep the stock shaft in a driver for a little while.

Ping G15 ... WHAM!

Pros:
Silly long with a stock shaft! Very forgiving.
Cons:
Some people still think TaylorMade may be better
Rating:
The Ping G15 is another in a long line of good drivers made by the company that made it's name in irons and putters. Did I say "good driver?" I should have said "GREAT DRIVER" because the G15 is exactly that. I have played TaylorMade drivers for the past 25 years and have never been "unhappy" with them ... the technology is always on the front of the curve and the length and feel have always been good. I don't even know WHY I tested the G15 this spring as I was perfectly happy with my Burner ... but when the salesman at Golfsmith put the thing in my hand and turned me loose in the simulator. POW! Spin rate? Great. Ball flight? Great? Launch angle? Great? Roll after landing? Great. SO I decided to hit a few more ... POW POW POW (you get the idea) and with that I plopped my Burner on the counter, used the "trade in" value to defray the cost (even though you take a beating when you trade in a club) and the G15 went right into the bag and off I went to the course. It's been 3 months and all I can say is ... "What a terrific driver" - great balance, great feel, a simple and effective head shape that inspires confidence and the stock shaft is actually a good one! I personally have never been happier with a driver in ... well ... ever! I've picked up a consistent increase of 15 yards and my "fairways hit" average is higher than it's been in quite some time. (Sweet!)
Even if you're not in the market for a driver, go demo the G15 anyway. You may discover that suddenly you ARE in the market for a new driver ...

Pros:
Forgiving and long, easy to hit
Cons:
can not change like other new drivers, grip a bit rough
Rating:
A really nice driver for the 15+ handicapper. Easy to hit and pleasing to the eye at setup. My only beef might be the grip is a bit rough for my taste but still very nice.

Pros:
Long and straight; gentle draws and fades
Cons:
NONE
Rating:
I've had this driver for a little over a year now. I keep wanting to change the shaft to the latest exotic, but that would be a crime. Stock out of the box (Serrano 60-S shaft) it's a great weapon. Longer than the Taylor Tour Burner I was using before and easier to hit where you're aiming. My swing speed is around 100 mph max, and my best results are when I force myself to give it a little pause at the top before the downswing (perhaps due to a slightly softer tip than some stiff shafts). When you hit it flush it seems like you don't even have to swing hard and it goes farther than you expect. I haven't tried the G20 yet but at this point I see no need to change. I have a 2.8 index and this really suits my game well. Easy to dial up a fade or draw when you need it, but you really have to cut across it dramatically to get a big hook or slice. If you don't mind hitting it straight most of the time, this might be a good choice for you!
