Pros:
Long, forgiving, workable
Cons:
Finish
Rating:
15 yards longer than my r7SQ. More feedback (good and bad) on swing. I chose the Graffaloy PL Red shaft which gave me the best launch conditions. (Low spin, mid launch.)

Pros:
Long, great sound/feel at impact, very traditional look
Cons:
I wish the headcover had a longer sock, not the most forgiving club
Rating:
Great club. Really solid at impact, feels and sounds like you crushed it. I get a very nice trajectory and the stock Diamana shaft is pretty decent for me.
Probably not the most forgiving driver but when you hit it right, it's long and straight.

i personally think that this is the best driver i have ever had and believe me i have owned every high end driver previous to the 909 i also owned a r9 tp and the 909 blew it out of the water. i rated it a 4 out of 5 because i do not believe that a perfect club can or will be made ever but if you buy the 909 you will not be dissapointed. has a great sound and traditional look as well as a very solid penetrating ball flight. i find it to be very forgiving for a players driver.

Best driver for 2009

by tsr115 on October 27, 2009
Pros:
Foregivness, Long, Great head cover
Cons:
Like all new club very expensive.
Rating:
The 909 d2 is the best driver I have ever gamed, after tring many other 2009 model driver I decided to go with this one. I did switch shafts to better suit me and made an already steller driver even better. To top everything off the fit and finish of any Titleist product is superior any other company.

Pound-town

by allhailjay on October 28, 2009
Pros:
Long
Straight
Pure
Cons:
...I dont know what you want me to say
Rating:
I was hitting on the range with my 907 d2 w/ vs proto stiff 8.5 and was barely getting my ball to the shed at the end of the range. they were two hopping on my best swings. My friend hands me his 909 d2 voodoo 8.5 stiff. First swing-POW! flew it on top of the shed. Maybe its just a first swing lucky swing, but no they continued to fly. ILIKE

avereage driver for me.

by gandor on November 17, 2009
Pros:
sound and feels good. classic head shape is a plus.
Cons:
the face is not as hot as 9015d.
Rating:
this driver sounds/feels good but not as long as other drivers like 9015d and ping g10. it was in my bag for a few rounds but then i found 9015d and without hesitation it replaced it.

Best driver hands down!!!

by ecccgolfpro on November 17, 2009
Pros:
Forgiving, versatile, LONG, player oriented, traditionally shaped, attractive, tour proven
Cons:
would have liked an inter-changable weight port
Rating:
This driver is the perfect driver for a low handicap and even tour player who is looking for the distance and forgiveness of a 460 cc driver, yet still provide the workability and traditional appeal of a smaller head driver.
Mishits are still very far, trajectory is mid-high, and with the right shaft this driver will not overspin the golf ball what so ever.
Highly recommended!!!

909D2 9.5 10.5

by mosesgolf on November 17, 2009
Pros:
Beautiful club, straight
Cons:
short, high spin
Rating:
One of the prettiest clubs of 2009. Short, higher spin, moderately forgiving, mid trajectory. This driver just did not have it for me. It spun too much and was very short in comparison to the other drivers of 2009. Tried this in 9.5 and 10.5 w/ the real deal Xcon 6, Diamana Whiteboard 73x, and stock Ozik Xcon. Meh all the way. Hits pretty straight but it's SHORT.

Excellent club, one of the best from Titleist.

by jlgergen on December 06, 2009
Pros:
Standard depth hosel, classic design, great sound, forgiving while providing workability
Cons:
Stock shaft offerings, headcover that doesn't protect the shaft, nonadjustable swingweight screw
Rating:
I would have given this club a 5 star rating if the swing weight screw would have been adjustable; and if they still came with a 905 style headcover. The club itself is excellent and performs like you would expect. It has a traditional look at adress, although not as pear shaped as the D3. The face angle looks to sit square and impact sounds solid. The club allows you to work the ball either direction and has good trajectory control.
I tried the stock Voodoo and Matrix Xcon shafts before switching to a Matrix HD6. I need help controlling spin and this combination really performs. Titleist offers a nice variety of shafts that should suit nearly every swing. Be sure to get fit for this or any club fully realize its potential.

Why did i stray.............. ?

by sevenfourate on December 06, 2009
Pros:
Looks,total neutrality,performance,sound and build quality.
Cons:
Pathetic head-cover
Rating:
Lets get the bad stuff out of the way first. On opening the box from the custom dept, the headcover is pathetic (Sorry Acushnet).Sure it protects the head but what about my $XXXXXXXX up-charge shaft. "Get a grip and use some common sense please Titleist".
Now.....the driver itself. A 5 out of 5 rating with no 'ifs and buts' of any sort. Looks at address are amazing and it genuinely sits dead square or very slightly open.Finish is second to none and for me it inspires confidence at address, from the classy lines to the subtle alignment aid.
Performance is absolutely fantastic, and i can hit this as long and as straight as anything out there, and im going to put my neck out and say the performance is as good if not better than my previous 907D2 (ie: Slightly longer, more forgiving on mis-hits and slightly lower spinning giving me better release upon landing).May just be me but the sound is more solid than the previous model also, and is not 'tinny' in any way.
Looking like being in the bag for a long while to come.Well done (And Thankyou) Titleist !!!!!

I Love this Driver

by schamp401 on December 13, 2009
Pros:
The best combination of forgiveness, workability and distance I have tried.
Cons:
None
Rating:
I ordered my driver with the Voodoo for Titleist shaft. I had Titleist tip the shaft 1/2 inch and and set the length to 44.5". This firmed up the feel and added extra control for me.
