I used to play a Titleist hybrid, reshafted with epic grafalloy as long iron/#2. #3 & 4 were forged cavity back irons. 5i - SW are classic thin blade you dream to shave with.
I have played those hybrids as #2, 3 & 4 iron replacement. They are sharp enough, no offset, not bubbling as too many hybrids which I cannot differentiate from 5w or 7w to complete your set in full replacement of long irons.
I am not the one who fear an equipment to be hard to play or player oriented (a good swing/stroke fears no equipment, and as most amateurs my bad shots are too bad to be saved by gear's forgiveness) but I do not play often enough or am not good enough too be that confident making a solid 180 to 220 yds shots with my long irons from the fairway or the rough... Only after playing a little more I started to hit them well.
Those hybrids make me feel I will for sure make the distance from the tee, fairway or rough even when I have not played for months. Therefore I swing smoother and get more accurate. They spin less than irons and making it easier in the wind.
Mine came with aldila voodoo shafts in stiff, are D4/5, which is close from my irons (D5) and also a good reason to try them... Because so many woods and hybrids have such light swingweights compared to most iron sets you just cannot rythm your swing and put the balls all over. Make your set with a consistant swingweight.

I love the feel of this club, great launch & distance. Very controlable ball flight and the perfect fit between my 4 iron & 3 wood. Great Club, thanks adams for looking out for the low cappers!

Adams Pro Black hybrids are better looking and easier to hit than any other hybrid I have ever used. You can hit them flush out of 6 inch steel wool!!
