The i10 irons are designed to appeal to golfers who prefer the look of a smaller, blade-style club but still rely on the forgiveness of a cavity back. Its compact head features reduced offset and a thin top rail to give it a players' iron look.
The rib structure of the Custom Tuning Port (CTP) stabilizes the face and improves feel and consistency. Weight savings from the new cavity and face structure is positioned on the low toe to provide a high moment-of-inertia for its blade length. Its center of gravity location creates a low, penetrating ball flight. Custom Tuning Port The new cavity design is engineered to provide consistent performance and a solid feel across the club face. Players Appearance A shorter blade length and thinner top rail combine with player-preferred offsets for confidence and control.
Low Toe Weight Weight savings from the new cavity and face structure is positioned on the low toe to provide a high moment-of-inertia for its blade length.
Narrow Sole A narrow, cambered sole ensures performance and playability for golfers who place a high priority on shot control.
Very forgiving, nice ballflight with the DGS300 shafts. Held just about every green and held their own in the wind. Could easily work the ball for a fade on command. Awesome fitting system. Great finish and durability you come to expect from Ping.
Cons:
They make you believe that you can switch to blades, because you hit it so good!

great players heads
by Guest on July 25, 2009
Pros: players clubs, great sole grins with nice beveled leading edges. feels good
Cons: small heads for a cavity back, and hate the orange
Rating: Pings gear is awesome. The finish on these heads are dark and look bad to the bone. These heads feel good for cast ping clubs. Nice shape unique to Ping. More squared toe than most iron sets out there and the value of these irons will hold much better than others because they are Pings
Rating: With only a couple of rounds on them I really enjoy them. They're forgiving for a players club which is a great mdedium. Don't really care for all the orange eiter.

These were my first Ping irons to hit. Actually fell in love with the feel of the DGS300 in the i10s. Nice ballflight with great distance and stopping power even in the long irons. I hit these so good, it made me think I could move up to a forged muscleback. If you are looking at these irons, get fitted, and check out the KBS, DG, or PX shafts as they will only add to this iron. Not to mention they are cheap right now with the new series coming out. Can't go wrong with these even as a high handicap. I think alot of iron play is being confident when looking down at your stick.
At address this is the best looking Ping Iron built. Great feel.
Cons:
D0 swing weight on stock model
Rating:
Less offset then the i5 irons gives this iron set a great look at address. Short irons are dead on when hit well. Just a little bit of a clicky feel on some shots. The i10s feel similar to the S57s.
Really easy to hit. Nice mid trajectory. small head. Indestructible
Cons:
Feel was terrible. Odd head shape.
Rating:
Very easy to hit for a players iron. Feel was terrible and I hate the shape of ping irons. Nice trajectory but I could not draw these at all but that could be due to the flat lie? Overall I was VERY surprised by these irons. I have always sworn I would never play ping irons just because they are so ugly but I actually really liked these! If these irons had a better feel to them I would have kept them for sure. I am used to playing forged irons so I might be a little biased when it comes to the feel. I usually take a very deep divot and these really seemed to help stop the club from digging. Heel and toe shots felt aweful but I really didn't lose much distance. I am a 13 handicap and I felt these were very easy to hit. However if you like more offset on your irons go with the g10's.
Good clubs for a better than average ball striker, clean look ,
Cons:
Miss hits are punished some, not a real high trajectory Dont really like the orange graphics

I currently play the 1-3 blades and love them. I would say these are very similar, in fact I dont see any real difference in performance which is why I did not get them. As with all Ping clubs these are solid performers but if you are switching from the I3 blade or I3 + dont expect much different. Overall these are great performers for a better than average ball striker, minimal offset and blade like apperance with decent forgivness.
So I've had two sets of these now. First was a set with AWT shafts, and my most recent was with zz65's.
Neither of them worked for me, but first, let's get to the pros. I play off scratch, and love the look of compact iron heads. While not exactly blade-like at address, these fit the bill of player's irons. Not alot of offset, thinish topline, medium width soles. I thought these looked great cosmetically as well, nothing like the funky looks of TaylorMade's recent offerings. Plus, these are Ping's we're talking about, nearly indestructable. But that's where the pro's ended for me.
While it looked pretty, it sure didn't feel pretty. Obviously, these aren't going to feel like forged irons, cause they're not, but I thought overall they felt...different. I've played cast irons before, but these Pings just didn't feel right to me. It may have been due to the low swing weight of the irons. At D0, these were waaaay too light. Sure, I gained about a half club because I was swinging faster, but I had no idea where my shots were going to go. In the end, accuracy trumps distance every time with irons.
Found them as forgivable as a tour-like club could be. GREAT sweet spot.
Cons:
Playing them for awhile. Can't find a negative yet.

I love all Pings irons lately but these set the standard. Even traded back in i15's because they didn't have the same feel and look. Ping i10's are all around better than a lot of irons I've tested. The i10s are smaller but really forgiving. I like their distance too. You can work them well for a cavity back. Never thought I'd let go of the i5's but the i10's set up nicer and feel sweet.
